Somewhere
Dearest Mother, Dad, & Velma,
Hello again! How are you all today? We haven’t done anything today but yesterday we were busy. Had lots of fun and we did plenty of damage. I did the best I have ever done. I got a direct hit that really moved things around. My boys also did exceptionally well and I was very proud of them. We will do the same thing possibly tomorrow and I think that is what we will be doing most of the time from now on.
I got a bunch of letters and several Reporters last night which came in very handy. I nearly read all the print off of them. Thelma sent me several clippings out of the Abilene Reporter
Red Reynolds came over this morning for a visit. He is the former Harvester man that is now a mechanic on a P-47 over here. However, he is in a different outfit than mine.
Not much to talk about as it seems to be pretty slow for us because of the great distances. I imagine our next move will find us pretty busy.
Hope this finds you well and happy.
With all my love,
Son
P.S. Chase said he called you twice but got no answer. Hope you have talked to him by this time. He called 727. I hope that number will reach you. Son
