Dear Lt. Carter (I forget your first name),
I am writing this although I am very, very tired, but I
want to mail it now.
My mind is befuddled so that I can’t even think of anything clever to write about. My predominated thought is just how tired my back is, and how much I want to go to bed.
Last night I came in to see how you were, and you
were sleeping quite peacefully so I just tucked the covers around your
shoulders, and left.
I will see you tonight, but when you get this it will have been yesterday.
My address in Prov. Is 233 6th St.
Telephone no. Gaspee 2476
