Dearest Mom & Dad,
I received your wire yesterday and you can’t imagine my thrill getting it. I was very much surprised but very happy.
As you see, it takes even a long while for telegrams to go thru. I have written just about every day so you should begin to get a steady stream of letters. They aren’t very interesting yet but some of these days we will move to where I should have something to write about. Our CENSORED is just about intact so we can use it and I will be very glad about that. By the way, in the May twenty-second issue of Saturday Evening Post will give you a very interesting story and I am sure you would enjoy the significance of it. I hope you read it very carefully. CENSORED
I am tickled Mary came over. Tell me more about the visit and what you think of the situation.
Bye now!
Love,
Son
