Dearest Mom & Dad,
We have changed our schedule and I am loafing today. Well, I saddle soaped all my shoes and other than that, I have done nothing. (I have ten pairs of shoes).
I had much rather be busy than loafing because the time is much shorter. When we are off, there is nothing of interest other than writing. Yesterday I went up in the mountain and saw a very large and beautiful CENSORED. One of the prettiest I have ever seen. Spent nearly the whole day up there. I was really tired when I got back to camp.
About the main thing I do is to wonder how long it will be before I get back home. Sure do wish I knew. Probably about a year I guess. Well, Mom, tell Dad to write again. I surely do like to hear from him. Don’t worry.
