 Dearest Mother and Dad,

                                                             #1

I just wish I could see you and tell you about my recent leave.  I have just returned from a seven day leave and I have never had such fun in my life.  Of course, I can’t tell you where I went but it was a beautiful city.  I went by I.H.C. and visited them.  The place is not as nice as it is at home but it is very similar.  I met a Mr. Leach, the branch manager.  You might try and see if Mr. Roberts knows where he is located.

Mom, please note my new address.  It should be more or less permanent, that is, as it can be.

I had twenty-nine letters when I came back.  Gosh! Was that wonderful! You and Barbara are really doing good. I never hear from Mary.  I guess she doesn’t realize what we are up against.  (This is finished on another letter)
