Dearest Mother, Dad, & Velma;
It is very warm today and I am very hot and tired. I haven’t done anything today but work on my Jeep and trying to get it running good once more. The boys had another fight this morning and bagged a few more. We are getting more help now as some of the other fellows are coming in. Believe me, we are really glad to see the boys, too. It will take a big load off of us. Everything you have read about Fighter-Bomber and P-47’s is my outfit. We have a very good reputation over here and they tell us we are getting lots of publicity. We are called the Black Rams so you might be reading about us soon. Let me know if you do. My APO has been changed again. It is now 248 so be sure and tell everyone. I am sorry this is short but at least you will know I am O.K. Be sure and write soon.
