Dearest Mother and Dad, P.S. (Had long letter from Mary)
I have been doing pretty well on the mail situation. I got three from you written on the eleventh of Aug. I am very glad you got my letter that I wrote on board ship. I gave it to a sailor to mail when he got back to the States. I think I told you quite a bit. You shouldn’t have any trouble knowing what the score is.
I am sure you have heard about our activity over here you should be able to tell where we are fighting by the reports. Lady Luck seems to be with us so far.
In my new job besides flying, I am in position to watch lots of things and sometimes it gets very interesting. My schedule is very easy now, but I have lots of time on my hands. We are all O.K. but we will be glad when we can go back to the States. Please don’t worry, I am O.K.
All my love,
Son
