 Dearest Mother, Dad, and Velma;

             Well, looks like this is it.  Everything is all loaded and we will be out before you get this.  Where we go is still a dark secret but that suits me perfectly.  Maybe we will get there wherever it is.

             I am in perfect health and am eager to get in and get this terrible thing over.  The sooner the better.

             This past week I have had a wonderful time.  The Fullers have treated me like a King.  I stayed at their home about five times, and I nearly ate them out of house and home.  They are really swell people.  I believe they like me nearly as much as you do.  The all cried this morning when I left.  And for going away they gave me a beautiful billfold.  Mr. Fuller works for Buxton Co. and he had one made for me out of ostrich skin.  The are really nice people.  Barbara said she would write you sometime and introduce herself to you.  You would like her immensely – I am sure!

             About Mary – I am still in a fog over her.  I still know as little about her as I ever did – Ho hum!  So as it stands now – I am torn between two fires.  I guess time will tell.

             Well, Mom, the Gov’t will send you my APO after I have it so be sure and write and be sure to tell Dot Cooke my address and tell her to send it to I.H.C. Chicago so I’ll keep getting the magazines from there.

             Remember, I love you and will always be thinking of you.  It won’t be too long before I get back.  Have faith and pray for me and everything will be fine.  Please don’t worry about me.  If I weren’t any good I wouldn’t be here.  Also I’ll be careful!

God bless you!

                                                                                                 Your loving son,

                                                                                                 Sonny

 P.S.

I am enclosing address for more pictures if you want them.  How do you like them?
