Dearest Mother & Dad
Well, here I am after a very busy day of doing nothing. I went to town to do a little shopping and I nearly walked myself crazy. I still didn’t get very much. We have a softball game in the morning so that is something to look forward to. Here’s hoping we win. I will play short stop. Some of the fellows went to the races today but I didn’t care much for it but I will probably go some of these days.
I didn’t get any of the mail I had been looking forward to but maybe I will tomorrow. I thought I would have a bunch from home. Only one as yet and it had the old address.
I have a date tomorrow night with a nurse I met coming over but I don’t know what we will do. There is so little going on and everything closes so early. I am going by the International and see how their business is getting along over here. Compare it with home. This place really uses lots of our equipment here. The first thing I rode in was one of our busses. Sure did seem good, too.
Mom, please write and let me try to answer your questions, if possible.
Love,
Son
